Delve is excited to launch it’s Social Work Internship Program starting in 2026!

The program will be primarily supervised by Kerstin O’Connor (LSW, MSW).

In addition to Kerstin’s primary supervision, our broader team (comprising clinicians, advocates, and experienced community organizers) will support the student’s learning experience in multiple facets.

We envision the internship having three primary components:

Social Work Resource Management and Connection
Supporting Delve and the broader community by developing and maintaining a curated network of resources that connect clients, communities, and practitioners to vital services addressing both basic and mental health needs. Primarily the student will work directly with Kerstin in developing these materials and communications.

Advocacy
Advancing Delve’s policy mission of promoting equitable, transparent, and accountable commercial insurance practices in Illinois. The intern will assist in advocacy communications, legislative and regulatory advocacy and shadowing, coalition participation, community education, and meeting organization—all aimed at strengthening access to high-quality mental health care. Primarily the student will be shadowing Adam and Lisa in this work.

Clinical
Contributing to Delve’s mission of providing accessible, high-quality psychotherapy services. The intern will support clinical operations appropriate to their training level—such as case management and direct service provision under direct supervision—provide care for a very small caseload of individuals with financial or access barriers. Primarily the student will work with a fully licensed clinician and Adam to deliver these services.

Our team includes multiple experienced professionals across clinical, advocacy, and organizational disciplines. The program will be administered collaboratively and intentionally to provide a rich, integrative training experience. Kerstin will serve as the point of contact and primary MSW supervisor.
