Mission Statement

Delve Psychotherapy’s policy work advances equitable access to high-quality mental health care by advocating for fair, transparent, and accountable commercial insurance practices in Illinois. We focus on removing systemic barriers that prevent individuals from receiving the care they need and obstruct clinicians from delivering it.

Through targeted policy advocacy, coalition participation, and stakeholder engagement, we work to improve:

• Mental health parity enforcement
• Commercial insurance reimbursement practices
• Transparency and accountability of insurance operations
• Regulatory protections for both patients and clinicians

Delve’s policy efforts are grounded in the belief that:

• Mental health care is health care
• Clinicians should be empowered to focus on care, not bureaucracy
• Patients should not face discrimination or structural barriers in accessing treatment

We engage collaboratively with Illinois-based coalitions, policymakers, regulators, and fellow advocates to advance meaningful reforms that strengthen mental health care access and equity.
