Therapist in Training
As humans, we all face times of struggle or overwhelm that can be challenging to manage on our own. We may feel alone or as if no one understands what we are going through. This is where a therapeutic relationship offers the opportunity to build a sense of understanding and appreciation for the complexities of our experiences and fosters a healthier relationship with ourselves and those around us. Together we will work towards identifying your strengths and goals and developing a sense of self-compassion as we acknowledge we are all humans moving through this experience.
I enjoy working with adults of all ages in addition to adolescents 15 years and older and couples. My interests include supporting those experiencing disordered eating, anxiety, mood dysregulation, depression, and interpersonal conflicts. As an advocate for the Down syndrome community, I additionally have a deep understanding of those facing systematic barriers in receiving care and related caregiving responsibilities and stressors.
I believe it is vital for the therapy space to be an environment for safety, self-compassion, and motivation for meaningful change. As this space allows for exploration of our strengths and empowerment towards living a more satisfying life, I deeply value the opportunity to grow and learn together. We all start somewhere, and I look forward to meeting you where you’re at in your human experience.
